Authenticity Is A New Currency

Why is there a fear for so many of us to be authentic?

Why are so many of us reluctant to unveil ourselves and show others who we really are?

It is likely that many of us have been conditioned to hide certain parts of ourselves or parts of our character so that we can fit in.

If I look back into my own personal experience, I can say that the real me was a little stifled as a child.  I did hide certain parts of myself and dimmed certain qualities and feelings to fit in, to keep the peace, to behave as expected and to not rock the boat.

Ohhh the ridiculousness of it all…..

With gathered years, comes a new love and respect for self and all that comes with it.  New found confidence gives many of us the freedom to break free from so many confinements- physical, mental and emotional.

Authenticity is knowing who you are and being brave enough to live it.

Just be yourself.  Let people see the real, imperfect, flawed, quirky, weird, beautiful, magical person that you are.

Mandy Hale

Believe it or not, people want to see the real you.  There is something magical about someone who is unapologetically themselves.  There is a magnetic quality to these people – they are the ones that attract their true tribe and true friends.

Authenticity is the daily practice of letting go of who we think we’re supposed to be and embracing who we are.

Brené Brown

Authenticity is irresistible.  It is a new currency of sorts.  In exchange for being our authentic self, we will help attract the things in life that are meant for us – the job, the partner, the path, the experiences.  Believe in yourself.  Love yourself.  Own, accept and be who you are!

Remind yourself you cannot fail at being yourself.

Wayne W. Dyer
