Last Month of 2024: 4 morning practices for a fresh start

4 weeks left….

There are 4 weeks and a wee bit left to this whirlwind of a year come and almost gone.

If you are not where you want to be in your precious life, that is perfectly alright because according to Divine timing, you are always exactly where you are supposed to be. It is my hope that this sentence alone brings you some comfort around all of that.

Let’s take a breath shall we?

*Inhales deeply and holds…..exhales with a nice puffy sigh…..

This post offers up 4 MORNING actions (2 physical, 2 mental), that you can integrate into your daily morning routine over these next (last) weeks of this year. Hopefully, you can take these wonderful simple yet impactful actions into the new year allowing them to become habits! You know what they say about habits right?

Kay…….so here we go….

MORNING SOUL CONNECTION (mental)

In that wee little space between when you are coming out of sleep and shifting into being awake, I want you to lie flat on your back. Keep your eyes closed and remind yourself that you are an eternal spirit being. You are having a temporary human experience. In your beautiful head, I want you to say, “Good morning my beautiful soul….what do you want me to know today? I am open…..”.

Repeat this a few times as you come into wakefulness. See how you feel. Notice what your intuition (your soul) shares with you. You may not get any answers right there and then but remember…you are open. This little crack of openness is just enough to allow what’s meant for you to start coming to you.

DRINK 16 OUNCES OF ROOM TEMPERATURE WATER AS SOON AS YOU WAKE UP (physical)

You may already be doing this. If so, hooray!!!! Now you only have 3 things to do lol!

Drinking 2 cups of fresh room temperature water upon wake up is a wonderful flushing practice. This water will hydrate, energize and flush your body all at once. Simple and powerfully impactful.

TEETH BRUSHING FACE WASHING/SHOWERING AFFIRMATIONS (mental)

Write these on a sticky note if you must so that you know what to repeat every morning. Wanna be a keener? Repeat them at night too!

Affirmation 1

I am at all times divinely guided and protected and things are always unfolding for my highest good even if I can’t see what that is right now.

Affirmation 2

Love is the most powerful energy there is. God (The Divine) is love. The Divine lives within me as me therefore I AM LOVE. I am powerful because my true essence is LOVE.

Keep repeating until all the brushing, washing, drying and dressing is done.

SKY GAZING OUTSIDE (physical)

This may sound odd but roll with it…you’re open remember?

I like to do this with my morning coffee in hand. My preference is to actually step my whole body outside and look up at the sky for a minute- ish (wear sunglasses if it is sunny). If you cannot actually step outside, my suggestion is to open up a window and look up allowing the outside air to touch you. It doesn’t matter if you are in the burbs or a city center. The sky is the sky. We are all one under it.

Look up at the vastness of the limitless sky and say to yourself, “I am of this sky, I am not from here, I am someone…some of the ONE.” Breathe that in and let it permeate your entire being.

Okay maybe this feels a little odd, but nothing new ever came from your comfort zone.

That’s it…those are your 4 challenges for the remaining 4 weeks of 2024. Are you in?

You’ll never know, unless you try.
